“I Don’t Do Films For People To See My Legs”
The audience loves her bindass avatar, the Bhatts love her guts and RGV loves her thighs. Jacqueline Fernandez is the girl of the moment. With Raaz 3 and Krrish 3 in her kitty, Jackie is going places. In an exclusive chat with Madhureeta Mukherjee, she talks about breaking out of the ‘hot girl’ stereotype, her alleged link-up with Sajid Khan and Ramu’s comment. Read on…
Murder 2did for you, what your debut film didn’t.
Yes, it was such a big film. People were curious to know about the sequel. The intrigue value added to it. I’m glad I grabbed the role immediately.
Emraan Hashmi said that he didn’t miss Mallika Sherawat one bit…
That’s what I love about Emraan. He’s honest and he says it like it is. It’s so refreshing to see an actor confess that they don’t like someone. There’s no need to be fake or friendly.
Now that you’ve kissed the serial kisser, who is next on your ‘kiss’ list?
I think I’m done with kissing onscreen for now. I’m trying to focus on other things. My upcoming films are comedy and action films. It’s a good chance to break away from my ‘hot’ image.
Mukesh Bhatt recently said that you’re the next superstar…
Yaay! I love the Bhatts. They pampered me to no end. I love how they project their actors and promote them so well. I’ve signed Raaz 3 without a narration! Given you’re the new Bhatt girl, who’s your favourite amongst Bipasha, Kangna and Mallika?
I love Kangna! I know her personally; she’s a really sweet person and a fantastic actress too. So, you’re ready to play superwoman in Krrish 3?
I’m so excited; I received the offer right after my birthday, so ‘Krrish 3’ was like Hrithik’s B’day gift to me. I’d done a commercial with him 3 years ago and dreamt about starring with him in a film some day. Finally, that dream is coming true.
Recently, while talking to zoOm, RGV said your thighs were the best part of Murder 2!
I saw that interview. It was so mean. I’d have appreciated more had he commented on my acting. I don’t do films so that people can see my legs. I don’t think it was a compliment at all!
A lot has been said about your link-up with Sajid Khan. There were reports about your marriage as well…
These stories are inevitable. They come with the burden of being in Bollywood. I feel that my personal life is the one thing I have to myself and I won’t share that. Having said that, if and when I decide to marry and start a family, I won’t hide it from the media. I just don’t want such news to be shoved out of me forcibly.
