Actor Nirmal Pandey Passed Away Due To Heart Attack

Nirmal Pandey, the actor who was best known for his role as Vikram Mallah in Sekhar Kapur’s film Bandit Queen passed away yesterday at 2.30 p.m IST. The reason for his death is stated as heart attack by unconfirmed sources. He was rushed to the Holy Spirit hospital in Andheri, Mumbai but could not make it.

He also acted in movies like Daayraa, Godmother, Train to Pakistan, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya and many more. He also had a brief stint on the small screen. His co-stars who worked with him expressed their condolences and added that Vikram was a gentle and soft-spoken guy, very opposite to the kind of roles he portrayed on-screen.

It is a little known fact that he was also a versatile singer. He graduated from the National School of Drama and was also part of a London based theatre group. He leaves behind his wife Archana Sharma whom he married on 6th May, 2005. May his soul rest in peace.
