Susheel Wins ‘Most Ravishing Anchor Award’
“I’m still pinching myself!” laughs Susheel Jangira. This tall, lissome beauty who won the Most Ravishing Anchor Award at the 16th Lions Gold Awards held recently, cannot believe that she received this honour.
Susheel, who hosts Weekend Planet Bollywood on Zoom at 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, says it felt “awesome” to be given an award of this stature. “The same night, Amitabh Bachchan was rewarded for his performance in Paa. For a newcomer to be on the same platform as him, was overwhelming!” she exclaims. Susheel has done a number of print ads, walked the ramp for a number of designers, acted in music videos and has even anchored a cricket-based show.
“My passion is television, although I am keen on becoming a radio jockey as well,” she adds. It’s the first award for this fair girl with “magic brown” eyes and naturally, she wanted to share the news with everyone as soon as she received it. “I felt like a celebrity on stage. It’s an even better feeling to get something when you’re not expecting it. I reached home and texted all my friends in the middle of the night!” she giggles, “The feeling was just out of this world!”
